Support Clay Liston in His Fight Against Leukemia
Clay Liston is a beloved pillar of the Utah ceramics community and beyond. Known for his generosity, expertise, and passion for the craft, Clay has dedicated his life to helping others—whether it’s repairing kilns and pottery wheels, making glazes, assisting commercial studios, or supporting artisan schools. His knowledge and kindness have touched countless artists across the western United States.
Now, Clay needs our help.
In early January, Clay was diagnosed with acute leukemia and immediately began chemotherapy treatments at Huntsman Cancer Institute. While fighting this battle, he also suffered a stroke, affecting mobility on his left side. He will soon begin physical therapy to regain his strength, but the road ahead is challenging.
As Clay focuses on healing, he and his wife face mounting medical bills, a mortgage, and the loss of income due to his inability to work at this time. We are reaching out to his community—the artists, friends, and colleagues who love him—to rally around Clay in his time of need.
Every donation, no matter the size, will help ease the financial burden and allow Clay to focus on recovery. If you are unable to contribute financially, please consider sharing this campaign and sending words of encouragement.
Clay has spent his life uplifting others—now it’s our turn to lift him up. ❤️
