CITYarts Peace Wall in Cleveland, OH: Empowering Youth and Building Bridges Through Art

As part of the CITYarts 50 States of Peace initiative, CITYarts is producing and creating a vibrant peace mural in Cleveland, OH, in collaboration with artist- Stina Aleah, students of Garrett Morgan School, teachers- Amanda M. Lehtola and Jamie Kelly, employees of DuPont and Laird, youth, and community members. This project, under the Young Minds Build Bridges program, brings together students, artists, and local organizations to create a public artwork focused on the theme of peace. Youth participants will explore themes such as communication, equity, and diversity, while gaining leadership skills and insights into potential careers in the arts and education.

The mural is currently being developed on the front wall of DuPont Building, 4707 Detroit Ave, Cleveland, OH 44102, with workshops, art sessions, and community engagement opportunities forming a core part of the project. The CITYarts Peace Wall in Cleveland will symbolize the city’s commitment to peace, unity, and collaboration, highlighting the powerful role art can play in transforming communities.
