Support climate youth at UNFCCC COP29 in Azerbaijan

Your support helps us push for climate justice at the UN climate summit

We Are Tomorrow Global Partnership (WAT-GP) is attending UNFCCC COP29 in Baku (Azerbaijan) from in November, and we need your help to finance our youth advocates on the ground!

What are we doing at COP29?

WAT-GP is an international network for youth climate organizations working for climate justice. As an organization, it is our goal to support youth climate advocates and broadcast Global South and North voices in international decision-making processes. Alongside 20 of our partner organizations, we will attend COP29 in Baku to advocate for climate justice and support our partners in their efforts. Our partners come from all over the world, from Argentina to Denmark, Uganda, South-Africa, and Bangladesh. They advocate for topics such as climate education for vulnerable communities, an inclusive Loss & Damage fund, climate finance for adaptation, and of course youth participation. WAT-GP supports its partners financially and diplomatically, and we create advocacy opportunities at COP29, such as meetings with high-level decision makers and influential institutes.

Why do we need additional funds?

As a non-profit, completely volunteer- and youth-led organization, we have limited resources. Our main income is the subsidy we receive from The Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, but as we are trying to support as much partner organisations as possible and our own delegates will need to use their own money to pay for part of their mission. This creates unequal access to the climate summit as compared to professional and non-youth led organisations, resulting in underrepresentation of youth from both the global North and South.

Please note that all fundraising resources that are left after COP29 in Baku, will be used by WAT-GP to finance its partners in their advocacy efforts in 2025 and our overall organisational expenses (e.g. administration, website maintenance, etc). WAT-GP is a 100% volunteer-led organisation.
