Support Coach Ed's Road to Recovery

I am reaching out today to ask for your help for our beloved Coach Ed, who has been a pillar of our community and an inspiration to countless young athletes.

The Situation

On May 29, 2024, Coach Ed went to the ER for what was initially thought to be high blood sugar. However, his condition worsened as his temperature spiked, and despite knowing it was an infection, doctors struggled to identify its source. A week later, they discovered the infection's possible source and planned a simple bedside drainage. Unfortunately, four hours later, the family learned it was Necrotizing Fasciitis (flesh-eating disease), a rare and severe bacterial infection that destroys the body's soft tissue. This disease required immediate surgery to prevent it from spreading to the muscle and becoming fatal, potentially costing him his leg. He underwent emergency surgery and three additional operations before receiving the all-clear. Thankfully, the infection was removed before spreading to his muscles.

Coach Ed is now on the mend but will need further surgeries to close the wound, along with intensive physical and occupational therapy. This ordeal has left him unable to work or drive, causing a significant financial strain. As a coach dedicated to mentoring young athletes, Coach Ed now needs our support.

Coach Ed faces significant challenges without the ability to work or drive. The medical bills from his surgeries are mounting, and he requires ongoing rehabilitation to regain his strength and mobility. Additionally, everyday living expenses are accumulating, and Coach Ed needs assistance to cover these costs while focusing on his recovery.
