John Parks was recently fired from his position as the Head Coach of Lake Oswego High School's Cross Country and Track and Field Teams. This occurred after he sent letters to the OSAA and a state official when he decided to express his concern about the integrity of girls' sports when biological and transgender girls compete together, as well as the belief that the current system is not fair nor positive for all athletes involved.
Many of the families on the track and cross country teams have reached out to the school administration to encourage them to rehire Coach Parks. Currently the decision has not been reversed, and Coach Parks is trying to appeal his firing. This school year, he worked for the school district with autistic students, and was recently told that he would have to reapply. He is anticipating the loss of both of his jobs with the Lake Oswego School District, losing his current employer sponsored health insurance and having to shoulder the expense of private health insurance to maintain his family's necessary ongoing medical care, and a possible costly legal battle.
Please donate to Coach John Parks! All of the funds will go directly into his account.
