Our beloved Coach Mike (Michael DeVos), a treasured coach at the California All Stars Bay Area, needs our prayers, love, and support now more than ever.

At just 38 years old, Mike has dedicated his life to cheerleading, a passion that began at age 13, when he used it as a positive outlet to express his self-taught gymnastics talent. What started as a personal passion quickly became a lifelong commitment to inspiring others. From athlete to award-winning coach, Mike has been with the California All Stars since 2008, becoming a pillar of strength, joy, and excellence in our gym community.

As one of the dynamic coach’s of Ghost Recon, Black Ops, and Swagg, Mike has helped shape generations of athletes. Whether perfecting skills, choreographing routines, or lifting spirits with his trademark smile, his impact is immeasurable. He has touched every team at the gym, serving as a motivator, mentor, and role model.

Sadly, on Easter Sunday, while enjoying time with family, Mike was in a tragic scooter accident. He sustained a traumatic brain injury and fractured skull, requiring emergency care and ICU admittance. By God’s grace, he is now stable and breathing on his own, but his recovery journey is just beginning.

Mike is still in the ICU unit working hard on his recovery.

Mike will need at a minimum of 2–3 months of recovery, with ongoing care and therapy to heal his mind and body. The final outcomes are still unknown, but we are believing for complete restoration.
