Support Coach Penner's Family in Their Time of Loss

My name is Erica Aceves, a proud Whittier Christian parent and tennis team parent. Our tennis family is coming together to show our love and appreciation for Coach Scott Penner and to support his family during this incredibly difficult time. We want his family to know they are not alone in their grief, and that Coach’s legacy will continue to live on through all of us.

We are all devastated by the sudden loss of Coach Penner. Scott was a wonderful husband, a dedicated father to his three daughters, and a proud grandfather. His love for tennis was undeniable, but what truly set him apart was his love for our girls. He was more than just a coach; he was a mentor, a friend, and a guiding light who empowered our daughters both on and off the court.

As one of the girls shared, “Coach made such a strong impact in my life and made me love the sport. Tennis will not be the same without him.” Others expressed how funny he was, how much he was like a grandpa to them, and how deeply he influenced their love for the game.

“A coach will impact more young people in a year than the average person does in a lifetime.” This quote rings true for Coach Penner, whose impact will be felt for years to come.

In honor of his memory and to support his family during this time, we have started this GoFundMe campaign. Any contribution, no matter the size, will go directly to Coach Penners’ family to help with any financial needs they may have as they navigate this unimaginable loss.
