Support Coach Peter Fight Brain Cancer

Hi, my name is Karen Berenson, and I’m writing on behalf of the Team at RunFit MKE. Our dear friend, Coach and Trainer Peter Jarosz was diagnosed with Stage 4 Glioblastoma in 2020. He underwent an awake craniotomy to remove the tumors, and has since worked extremely hard to get himself in the best possible shape to fight this disease. He has become accustomed to a life that includes taking handfuls of oral medications, having MRI’s done regularly, and reviewing his brain scans with his doctors.

Unfortunately, recent MRIs have revealed that Peter’s tumors have returned and are growing rapidly. Peter’s team of doctors have decided they want to attack the new growths quickly and aggressively. He will be going in for another awake craniotomy on Wednesday, April 26th and will face more treatment afterward.

Between the time Peter was first diagnosed and now, he left a corporate job with benefits that financially supported his time away from work in pursuit of a career that was more rewarding and fulfilling. He joined the RunFit family as a Personal Trainer and Running Coach in 2022. As you can imagine, our career choices as trainers and coaches are not the highest paid and don’t come with health care benefits.

We are seeking your help in lessening the financial hardships that Peter will endure as he fights cancer and is out of work. We hope, with your help, the financial burden can be lessened while Peter focuses on his physical and mental health.
