Support Coach Strom: 25 Years of Dedication

I am reaching out with a heavy heart to share a deeply unjust situation that has recently unfolded for Coach Adam Strom, a man who has spent over 25 years dedicating his life to basketball and the empowerment of youth across the country.

For more than two decades, Adam has worked tirelessly, giving everything to help young athletes find hope and a positive outlet through the game he loves. Basketball isn’t just a sport for Adam—it’s a passion, a calling, and a way to make a real difference in the lives of these kids, many of whom face extraordinary struggles.

Recently, Coach Strom was abruptly terminated from his role as Head Women’s Basketball Coach at Haskell Indian Nations University due to federal budget cuts imposed by an executive order. This decision has left Adam without income, despite his years of unwavering dedication, leadership, and selflessness. Adam, who has given everything to this program and these athletes over the past 25+ years, was let go.

The players are perhaps the most impacted by this decision. With the playoffs fast approaching, the women’s basketball team finds themselves without the coach and mentor who has been their guiding force. Rather than walking away, Adam has made the selfless decision to continue coaching his team for free. He will not abandon them, even though he is now without pay.
