SUPPORT COACH TALAP!

I'm Nolan Hanson and Talap Mamyrkanov is my mentor, coach, and friend. Talap was detained by ICE on March 19th, 2025, and is facing imminent deportation to Russia, where he faces persecution based on his ethnicity, religion, and political opinion.

We are raising money to help Talap with the financial means required to defend his ability to stay in the United States.

Talap has built an incredible life in Brooklyn, full of friendship and service. He has studied English, worked in restaurants, and made friends. But nothing can compare to the joy that Talap has found in his position as a coach at the world famous Gleason's Gym, where he started working in the fall of 2023.

Talap is being represented by a great lawyer, however he is incurring significant expenses. All of his legal fees, as well as my travel costs, have been funded by his savings, which are rapidly depleting.

We all want Talap to be able to fight as intelligently and strongly as possible. To do this, he needs our help!

The first goal amount of $11,000 will cover the $9,000 Talap has already spent on lawyer fees as well as my travel.

The additional funds will go towards the estimated legal fees he will incur if the court approves his asylum application and agrees to grant him a new hearing.
