Full Force AAU was established with the mission of fostering positive mindset development in children, breaking the cycle of poverty, and nurturing a love for basketball. Our goal is to instill a winning attitude on and off the court by creating a brotherhood within the West Philadelphia Community. Last month, I took my 3 sons to Millcreek Playground just to simply teach the fundamentals of basketball. Learning footwork, dribbling drills, shooting drills, etc. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 5pm-7:30pm, I will take my kids. Every practice, someone from the neighborhood will be interested. Well, within a month's time, I now have 30 kids from ages 17 down to age 8.

We are seeking help from the community to make our dream turn into reality.

We would like to participate in 3 tournaments before the summer is out. I also would love to keep this organization going. It has kept gun violence down in this particular neighborhood and now Full Force AAU has shown that young Black kids can come together on and off the court by creating a sense of camaraderie within the community.
