Help Support Coach Winchester and His Family During His Battle with Cancer

 

Coach Winchester is Elmore County High School's Offensive Lineman Coach. Coach Winchester has poured blood, sweat, and tears into the program and is the hardest-working man we know. He loves those football players like they are his own. He has had to step away for a while due to his battle with cancer. The cancer has spread onto his right tonsil in his throat on top of the other two spots, including his upper palate and neck lymph nodes. He has been enduring chemotherapy in order to try to shrink the size of the tumors and stop the spread of cancer in general. He has had surgery in order to try to remove the cancerous spots. The doctors said the surgery went very well. Pre-surgery, the doctors were concerned with his ability to swallow post-surgery and possibly long-term. He will have a feeding tube during this time of recovery from the surgery.

 

His son, Tyler Winchester, is pictured on the right of him and is also an Elmore County High School Football Coach. He is Coach Win’s sole caregiver at the moment, along with Tyler's wife Kaitlyn. They are taking Coach to his appointments and helping him with anything he needs.
