Support Cody's Critical Recovery Journey

Please help support Cody's journey. On July 19th 2024, our family member Cody and his girlfriend were involved in a severe motorcycle accident in Shelton CT. Facts of the accident are still under investigation, however Cody and his girlfriend have sustained severe injuries. Because Cody honorably gave his only helmet to his girlfriend, Cody is in worse shape and in critical condition. Although his girlfriend is responsive, she too will undergo several surgeries. Please pray for her. She means the world to Cody and we are all rooting for her. She will make it through! At this time, Cody's brain is currently showing no brain activity. His leg sustained so much damage that doctors made the decision to amputate it. He is only 21 years old and was going to turn 22 in 4 days. He was very excited to celebrate another year. Please please consider donating for Cody. Nobody knows what is going to happen in the coming days. We are staying strong as a family. We are preparing for what is to come. We pray these funds do not need to be used for funeral expenses. We pray that we can use these funds for a prosthetic leg, perhaps even help him restart his life. Update: Cody Velasco has shown immense strength and courage in the face of this unimaginable ordeal. We were initially uncertain of the outcome of the situation, as he was in critical life threatening condition. However, at this time, Cody has been sadly pronounced deceased. We thank you for all the continued support. All proceeds will directly benefit Cody's funeral expenses and will be paid at service. Cody leaves behind his beloved mother Melissa, father Juan Carlos, and sister Ariel; among many more who loved him dearly. Thank you all so much for your support during this difficult time.
