Hello, my name is Colin & I deeply appreciate you taking the time to understand why I have set this fund raiser up for myself.

My goal is to cover my medical bills (outside what my insurance plan covered) + loss of income & the depletion of all my savings due to multiple surgeries, subsequent recovery times from each one & treatments thereafter, that have inevitably taken away my ability to work due to constant daily debilitating nerve pain & having to be sedated w/ heavy meds every day for months on end so far. Now since my condition didn't happen on a job or in a car (workman's comp or car insurance), I've had to pay for everything myself & have lost everything (financially speaking)

When this started:

This started in 2020. I had surgery on my spine (L5-S1). However in Aug. of 2025, I started having debilitating pain again & my whole leg and foot started going numb. In September last year, I found out from an MRI that I needed a 2nd surgery on the same area. This recent surgery in Oct. unveiled problems & complications that I had not known about for the last 5 years. The area in my spine had a tear in the disc membrane, which caused it to LEAK OUT all of its spinal fluid causing the disc to become calcified, like rock, over time. (I can't do anything about it malpractice wise).

Now just a couple weeks ago, I found out I'll need a 3rd operation (the most invasive yet) on Jan. 26th. They will fuse my spine w/ a titanium cage between my tailbone and the last vertebrae in my spinal column. They will be doing the operation through the front of me so a lot of my organs & intestines will have to be placed aside and/or moved aside for the Dr.'s to fully access the area. This surgery will come with a lot of potential risks, however out of the 3 options I was given, this is the only one that shows promise of long term benefits.

Unfortunately, the cost of the initial surgery in Oct + in-home care costs (after the surgery) + upcoming surgery costs + my monthly bills have all stacked up very fast & have fully depleted my accounts.

I'm aware that asking for help might come at an inconvenient time due to the holidays & all, but ANY donation would be greatly appreciated.
