Support Colleen Henry's Liver Transplant Recovery
Donation protected
Colleen Henry is a single mother of two that suffers from a degenerative liver. On Tuesday, July 9, Colleen will go through 8-10 hours of surgery to remove her diseased liver and replace it with part of her brother's.
With this donation, Colleen will be on the road to a healthy life. But her inability to work during her recovery will leave her and her family without income.
Colleen was unlucky with genetics and family history, not diseased by alcohol or lifestyle choices. Despite the challenges of her deteriorating health, Colleen tirelessly has worked two jobs. She is humble and loved by everyone she meets.
The biggest threat of having this surgery is hoping the new implanted liver will not be rejected by her own body. It is a process that will have to be monitored daily with hope that anti-rejection medications will allow this surgery to be successful.
Knowing Colleen all my life, if she could have the surgery done today and then return to her jobs the following week, she would. Unfortunately, this is not her case and she will have to follow what her doctors and own body are telling her. Your generosity is greatly appreciated and will help Colleen recuperate with less worries and more peace of mind to concentrate on her body and her family.
Thank you for your support in this time of need.
