Support Colleen's Husband's Cancer Battle

My name is Colleen .. A couple people asked me if i had a go fund me that they could donate to to help out.. I'm simply trying to make things a little easier on my husband so that I am able to keep him at home and still take care of him properly.

My story began last thanksgiving when I took my husband to the er for incredible pain in his side and back. We left the er with a possible cancer diagnosis in his lung. At Christmas of last year he had a biopsy and we got the results back as positive.. In January we returned to the er with the same incredible uncontrollable pain... This time he was admitted with pancreatitis. Had his gall bladder removed. after a 2 week hospital stay and several procedures he was finally released to home. Still having the pain he went into the hospital with..

He started chemo and immunotherapy back in march of 2024, with the treatment plant to remove half of one of his lungs. In July when they opened him up the found the cancer on the lining of his lung, making him ineligible for surgery or radiation treatments. He is only 58. This is so incredibly devastating for us. It is for anyone. He hasn't worked all year. It has put a strain on us.

Fast forward to now, I am trying to make some things around my house a little more handicap friendly . I am not trying to remodel my house. I do however need to put in a handicap friendly bathroom. as I am trying to keep my husband at home as long as possible. He has been my rock for 23 years now and its unimaginable to think of him not being by my side.. I know he would be doing the same for me.

He is still in pain most the time or otherwise asleep from all the pain meds he is on. Cancer is horrible.

We are going to UVA on the 26th of this month to get a second opinion on treatment options. That is the latest update.. We just finished putting in a slab/ramp to accomodate a wheelchair as he is having alot of trouble moving around and or walking . He currently has Pneumonia on top of everything else.
