Support Colton Land’s SCID Journey
Donation protected
Please help us support Kayla and Daniel while they stand by their 7 week old son, Colton, who was diagnosed with Severe Combined Immunodeficiency at two weeks old. It’s a rare and very serious disease that could have fatal results if not treated.
Kayla and Daniel would never ask for help, but we know they are constantly helping others and it’s our turn to return the kindness.
They still have a lot of unanswered questions while they wait on more tests, but they know this will be a 6 month to a year journey with Kayla being unable to return to work until after a successful bone marrow transplant (which can take months) and months of isolation after to ensure his immune system is functioning. They are working with a team of specialists at OHSU which is 4 hours away and requires a lot of travel.
Financial stress isn’t something we want them to worry about. If you’re able, please consider donating to help with the loss of wages, travel, medical expenses, and anything else that may arise during this journey. Anything helps.
They also have two older girls that won’t be able to attend school this year to avoid the risk of bringing any germs home to him.
Thank you on behalf of Daniel, Kayla, Krissy, Khloe, sweet baby Colton, and their families that are all hurting with them.
