Support Communities in the Amazon Through Tourism
Donation protected
Our goal is to promote nature conservation thought community-based tourism in Brazilian protected areas.
To do this, we will bring two community-member representatives from Amazonas state to visit community-based tourism in Pará state. The community-members will participate in a week-long expedition with a group of tourists. They will visit traditional communities along the Amazon river. During this expedition, there will be many opportunities for the community-members to learn, reflect on, and share knowledge about tourism experiences from these different Amazonians states.
This educational campaign contributes to an existing partnership among the private sector, non-profits, and Brazilian governmental agencies.
