As someone who has experienced life as a refugee for over 12 years, I know firsthand the struggles and hardships that come with fleeing war and violence. The Democratic Republic of Congo has been plagued by conflict for decades, forcing millions to leave their homes and seek safety in refugee camps.

The reality is harsh: many refugees face hunger, sickness, and even death due to lack of basic necessities like food, water, clothing, and shelter. Those who survive are forced to live in cramped and unsanitary conditions, often sleeping outside, in tents, or in makeshift houses made of wood and mud.
