Support Connie's Health Recovery

Family and Friends,

No one ever believes it can happen to them, but our dear friends Connie and Sheldon Schueler are struggling with some recent circumstances that can break even the strongest of us.

Much to our dismay we received a phone call that no friend wants to get. Sheldon called us to let us know that his beloved Connie was taken by ambulance to the hospital in the middle of the night. She had awoken Sheldon with pain in her legs to which Sheldon tried to massage and when talking to Connie realized that she wasn't talking clearly or understandable. He was able to assess that she was indeed having a stroke and called 911 immediately. Thank goodness he was quick on his feet to do so and they got there to care for Connie and get her to the ER in a time frame which saved her life. BLESS GOD FOR THIS.

Connie has been in the hospital now since the morning of May 19th. She has had to endure many procedures and has had several setbacks among the gains she has made. One of those being diagnosed with pneumonia which they are treating with strong antibiotics and she is battling everyday for good breaths of oxygen. She also has heart issues they are watching closely as the stroke has stirred up many health issues they are now having to deal with on top of the stroke.

Needless to say she has a long and arduous road ahead of her to heal enough to even be able to assess just what damage the stroke has done and what therapy she will need to come out of the hospital.

Adding insult to injury this past Sunday Sheldon called us at wits end. As he has spent every non working hour beside his love. Even sleeping beside her at the hospital. He informed us that at some point during the night Sunday that the water pipe in their master bathroom burst and he came home to a flooded bathroom and master bedroom. This now needs to be gutted and fixed before they can use it again.

So I am reaching out to you all in the hopes that we can all come together and not only raise up prayers for Connies healing, but also help to raise the funds needed to help this beautiful couple with hearts of gold.

They will not only need help with the expense of fixing their bathroom, but will also have to make the shower accessible to Connie when she comes home. Sheldon also wants to build a ramp to enter the home for Connie as she may be using a walker or potentially even a wheelchair for some time. Of course, there is also the medical expenses that they will have on top of all this.
