Three months ago, in May 2024, I was diagnosed with a pulmonary embolism. A month later, on June 28th, I underwent life-saving open-heart surgery. The surgery was successful, but the path to recovery is both long and demanding. My doctors have advised me to take at least 12 weeks of rest and rehabilitation, which unfortunately means I’m unable to work during this crucial time.

Though retired, I depend on supplemental income to manage my monthly expenses. The extended recovery period has unexpectedly strained my finances, and I am currently facing a $12,000 shortfall to cover necessary expenses through late October.
