Support Corey's Heart Transplant Journey

I made this account after finally letting others know what we are dealing with. I’ve felt confused and overwhelmed and I’m just now able to speak publicly about this. Corey has Congestive Heart Failure, and Lupus. His heart is only functioning at 15% on both sides, he has to get a Heart Transplant.

We have now been working to secure Corey’s medical needs including; temporary housing, and transportation of all belongings, and medical equipment, and to establish new medical care. This will start June 10th-14th, 2024. This is his first round of testing. Then after that another 6 to 8 weeks, with 4 to 6 weeks in the hospital and the remainder of time in temporary housing. We are required to stay in Birmingham and pay for our own housing and other expenses. After this process, we have to return for 3 days a month, for 6 months, or until he is stable.
