Support Needed for Corinne & Ben After LA Wild Fires

Donation protected

AND JUST LIKE THAT... 331 PARKMAN STREET IS GONE.

Our beloved friends, Corinne Marrinan and Ben Tripp, along with their two rescue pups, Koji and Tilly, have lost their home to the Eaton Fire. These two put their heart and soul into Parkman Street, creating not just a home for themselves but a sanctuary for so many friends seeking their comfort and wisdom. Fifteen years ago, they settled into a charming Mid-Century home on a quiet cul-de-sac with wonderful neighbors. Parkman has been their harbor of joy and hard work, the place where they could focus on their prospective crafts, tend to their vegetable and native gardens, host celebrations for friends, gather family for holidays, recover from illness, and create their life together. This home was to be a primary resource for their retirement in the not-so-distant future.

With all that they are grateful for, the past few years have proven to be challenging. Like so many others in their field, inconsistent work after COVID and the industry strikes along with Corinne’s unexpected MS diagnosis and expensive required treatments had already put their financial security in question.

On January 8, an unprecedented windy night, their house burned to the ground, succumbing to the raging wildfires in Altadena. Instead of returning to their precious home, they are returning to ashes. No door to unlock, no car to drive, no sofa to sit on, no table to eat at, no garden to tend to, no bed to lay in, no cherished mementos saved. Their home and entire neighborhood was reduced to cinders. We are raising money to help support them during this time of unimaginable loss.

Funds will be applied to those areas of need left uncovered by insurance policies or FEMA assistance. As much as we may arm ourselves with various insurance policies for cars, home and health; and as grateful as we are for governmental disaster assistance, it simply doesn't come close to meeting needs when one has lost so much.

We also want to acknowledge that so many others are suffering their own losses right now. If a monetary donation is difficult, let this site serve as a journal of support by leaving your messages of encouragement, sympathies, and love here on this page which will also provide updates on their situation and any specific needs they might have as recovery progresses.

Thank you so much and please, if you live in LA, stay safe. We are not out of this yet. Peace and Blessings.
