Support Cory Brown's Road to Recovery

Hey everyone,
As many of you already know, my name is Cory Brown, and I recently got hit by a car while riding my electric unicycle. (electric one wheel)
I was on my way to get a tattoo which was supposed to help remind me that "I'm on the right path" when I suddenly found myself moments away from getting hit by an oncoming vehicle going roughly 35mph. With no time to react, I was hit with 2 tons of irony and rolled onto the car and off into the street. Fortunately, I am alive, and not paralyzed, and I'm trying really hard to remain positive because of that, but the reality is, this crash messed me up pretty bad. I'll post the full list of the injuries below, but the short version is: I fractured my pelvis in 2 places which required surgery to fix (see photos). I dislocated my shoulder, and tore it in a couple places. I lacerated my spleen, damaged my kidneys, fractured a couple ribs, and a bunch of hematomas.
I got rocked!... and I'm gonna be out for a while. I haven't gotten the full roadmap to my recovery yet. I still have Doctors appointments on the 11th and 20th, and still waiting to schedule physical therapy. Hopefully somewhere in there I'll have a clearer picture of what I'm up against, but based on what I was gathering from my visit with my shoulder specialist, I'll probably be out of commission for at least 4-6 months. Possibly longer.
Fortunately, I think Medicaid is covering most of the medical expenses and I was contacted by someone about another program that may help with the costs as well, so as of now, I don't think I have to worry about that *fingers crossed*.
I do, however, still have bills and expenses that are quickly going to drain my very small bank account, and I'd really like to be able to focus on my recovery instead of re-injuring myself trying to figure out how to pay them. This is the part where I have to call on my community for help. As many of you know, I'm a super active human who loves adventure, juggling, flow arts, and many, many other fun activities which require a strong body to do. In order for me to have any chance of returning back to any of the things that I love to do, I really need your help so I can focus on my recovery.
If I'm able to gain support that exceeds my base goal, there are a couple of things that I want to put that towards to help me get back on my feet and help me get through this healing process.
The first is a vehicle so I can be as self sufficient as possible and be able to safely and reliably get myself to physical therapy and doctors appointments without always needing to look for a ride. I don't need anything super fancy. Getting a vehicle was already my main priority. Just looking to get an old 4Runner or something that can handle the mountains and weather here in Colorado. This will help me avoid getting back on the wheel earlier than I should and preventing me from riding in weather conditions that are too risky.
The next item that I need to take care of is replacing the wheel that got destroyed in my crash. That electric unicycle served me well. I had over 6,000 miles on that Nikola and I loved every second of it. Electric unicycles have been my main mode of transportation for the last 5 years of living in Denver, and once I'm recovered, I undoubtedly intend to get back on them as my main commuter in town. I would like to replace the Nikola with one of the new suspension wheels which will hopefully be much smoother on the newly implanted cybernetics in my pelvis. lol.
Anything extra beyond that just goes towards finding ways to stay sane in these two rooms that I will be recovering in and trying to make money from my office chair during the times I'm not laid up in bed. 3D Printing and craft supplies probably. Maybe a sticker printer and cutter. Who knows. Just want to make the most of this time without breaking myself.
Any support greatly helps and is appreciated more than I can say. Even just a couple bucks for a refreshing cup of coffee or tea would mean the world to me in this time of need and healing. Sharing is also a great way to help out.
Thanks so much for reading this and lots of love!
