Support Cotton Ball's Urgent Care Needs

Hello, my name is Nana, and I'm a dancer, student, and a cashier at a grocery co-op. I have many passions in life and I'm writing today because one of my biggest passions, my sweet cat Cotton Ball, suddenly developed a serious medical condition. She needed to be transported to an emergency vet in San Fransisco to find out what was wrong after showing extreme discomfort and alarming symptoms. After labs, tests, and x-ray, the vet made the diagnosis based on available data that it was a bad urinary tract infection (UTI) that possibly spread to her kidneys. This is a painful, fatal condition, if left untreated. She was prescribed a rigorous course of kitty narcotics and antibiotics, and has been slowly but surely responding to treatment. She will have a follow-up appointment at the animal hospital by 1/29 with more necessary diagnostic tests, potentially more prescriptions, and a visit fee. It's been heartbreaking to see her in pain, and behaving so differently than her normal, vocal self.

As many know, vet bills are very expensive, and when it's an urgent situation requiring ER visits, home observation and missing work, procedures, prescription meds, follow-ups and transportation, it can be catastrophic. I will need to plan to afford pet insurance for both Cotton Ball and Q-Tip moving forward. As of now, my immediate need is that I’m struggling to pay rent and afford life, as I have also just recently recovered from experiencing my own medical emergency which took me out of work for upwards of a week.

I know the world is currently burning from all edges... I do not take this lightly. I have to ask because I love my cats. Any help you can give, whether monetary or spreading the word, would be dearly appreciated.
