Courtney Carey is an ex-employee of Wix who was recently let go as a result of sharing her protected political views on social media. Courtney was terminated with immediate effect meaning she was not rewarded any severance pay and as a result is now struggling financially. The costs of legal aid are extremely high and since this is a complicated and high profile case good legal representation is essential for Courtney. This gofundme is to help support Courtney with financial and legal costs during this time and show solidarity with her as this case can set a precedent with other employers and companies in Ireland that they can not actively discriminate against their employees who’s political views don’t align with their own.
