As many of you know, Craig Daube is one of the kindest, most gentle and loving souls you could ever meet. But the past two years have been remarkably difficult on him.
Beginning with his coming down with a severe case of Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS) -- a rare neurological disorder that occurs when the body's immune system attacks the peripheral nervous system, which meant he had to learn to walk and use his hands again, and began to lose cognitive function due to Lewy-Body Syndrome; and then after he received 2nd and 3rd degree burns on his face, head, hands and arms earlier this year, resulting in more neurological damage and on-going pain, he is one of the most resilient and strong people I have ever known.
Unfortunately, he's been having to fight to get his disability payments back and after a series of accidents ended up not working for the past six weeks.
I am hoping we can count on his friends and family to step up to help him get through the next 30 days, because I've already spent every dime of my personal savings doing what I could to cover all of the household bills, mortgage and food.
In order to break even he will need to come up with $875 as quickly as possible. I am confident that once we get him through the month of June and July, he will be back on level footing and I will be able to help once again.
Those who know him remember that when Craig was well and working as a bartender and bar manager at Stock's on 2nd, he was generous and always there for those in need. I hope that his generosity inspires his friends and loved ones to step up and do whatever they can.
I will personally see to it that 100% of the funds raised will cover his rent, utilities, and past due car loan. And I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Thank you!
