SUPPORT CRAIG IN HIS FIGHT AGAINST STAGE 4 CANCER

Donation protected
Please consider donating to support Craig and his wife Stacey as they navigate endless Medical Costs and all the hardships that go along with fighting Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. This is a devastating disease. With all the hardships Craig is facing, like no longer being able to work, becoming ineligible to provide for family, and the ongoing medical costs. We want to make sure he does not have to worry about the things we are able to help with as he fights for his life!

Craig has been married to his high school sweetheart, Stacey, for 31 years. He is the father to an adult son, daughter in law and two beautiful granddaughters.

In April of 2021, Craig became Jaundice and was quickly admitted into Kaiser Hospital. After several tests and procedures, they got the devasting news that he had Stage 3 Pancreatic Cancer. He had a major surgery in May of 2021, followed by aggressive chemotherapy in May 2021 for 12 rounds. From the beginning of this process, he had been denied by the state and social security as well as his union for entering any disability assistance.

He finished the 12 rounds of chemo in December of 2021, he got to Ring the Bell as he finished all his chemo. All of his scans after completing chemo, came back and there was no evidence of Cancer.

Life was almost back to normal for Craig. He was able to return to work on a scaled down basis working for himself in order to provide for his family.

In October 2022 he started having severe back pain. His tumor markers continued to stay in the “negative” range. The only cause of the pain that his oncology team was able to find was extensive scar tissue from his surgery.

His back pain continued to get more severe over the next several months. Finally in October 2023, they were able to get a biopsy of the area, which came back positive for cancer. He is now at stage 4 with pancreatic cancer.

This cancer recurrence is inoperable. He started chemo again in October 2023 with an unknown timeframe for his treatment.

With his frail physical condition and ongoing treatment making him even weaker, he is unable to work and is almost completely bedridden. He has IV hydration at home several days a week, as well as chemo at City of Hope once a week.

Craig is an avid boater and enjoys spending time with family and friends at the Colorado River. When it’s not boating season, he loves off roading in the local desert or hitting the sand dunes in Glamis. With the help of his family and friends alongside our community, we hope it gives him the opportunity to feel up for doing what he loves again. He is willing to do whatever it takes to get there and has the mindset, faith and determination to do it.

Again, we immensely appreciate all the kind words, well wishes, good vibes, and prayers for the DeVito family and especially for Craig.

Thanks for being a part of Team Craig.
