Support Craig Through a Kidney Transplant!

Hi, I'm Cassie and I'm trying to raise funds to support my older brother Craig.

Craig was diagnosed with kidney disease in March 2019 and was in kidney failure by November 2020. This is the result of an immune mediated process (IgA Nephropathy) that leads to deposits of immune complexes essentially clogging up the kidneys. He likely had it for a long time without knowing since it usually takes 10-20 years to progress to kidney failure.

Craig has been going through dialysis for the past 3 years and has faced a whole array of other health issues as a result of his kidney failure. He desperately needs a kidney transplant and is hoping someone out there will be a match for him!

In addition to that, we are hoping to raise funds for him to help support him financially. He can only work 2-3 shifts a week (compared his normal 6-8 shifts/week) due to his health and dialysis schedule. He spends $220 per month on medications necessary to keep his blood pressure and phosphorous levels under control. He also needs some extensive dental work done before he can have his kidney transplant. Our parents are paying his house payments and helping support him financially and it is important to Craig to try to limit the need for their generosity. He will also be out of work for up to 4-6 months after he finally gets his kidney transplant. Help us help Craig!!
