Well heeeey everybody!

I’m the creator behind Cranky Canuck, and today I’m asking for your support. Cranky needs full-time production if there is ever going to be any chance of keeping up with the news cycle, never mind social media. And holy crap, it just gets crazier EVERY DAY!

Cranky was born out of a deep-seated need to understand and sift through the chaos and BS—be it political, social, or somewhere in between. Starting as a passion project 2 years ago, I didn’t expect the overwhelming response Cranky would eventually receive from both supporters and haters!

Every response, every shoutout, and every message you've sent has been the momentum that keeps this snowball rolling and ice cold. Honestly, I absolutely love this work and would be humbled and honoured for your help to continue driving it forward.

Besides the time-intensive cartoons, I aim to launch a bi-weekly show covering current events with special guests for fresh insights, doing my best to keep up with current events and stories. Additionally, I plan to produce more blogs, highlighting essential links and information relevant to each story and cartoon.

But I can’t do it without your help, today.

I've been a one-man band from the start—handling scriptwriting, research, animation, and sound design, and diving into the deep end to learn as I go, dedicating much of my free time to this pursuit. Your support for this campaign is everything; it could be our collective stand against disinformation and hopefully a step towards a future where truth and laughter lead the way in our public discourse, and I am committed to carrying out this work, with whatever it takes.

The blood, sweat, and tears poured into creating each of the 12 Cranky Canuck cartoons has been immense, far surpassing anything I could've imagined, and equating to more than a full-time gig. This experience coupled with the decades I've spent in the advertising industry, I believe I’ve built the skills and understanding needed to elevate this passion project to the next level.
