Support Crudo Nudo's Comeback After Fire

Hello, dear reader, Josh here.

On Wednesday, February 5th, at 10:37 AM I received a call that there was a fire at crudo nudo, my home away from home since 2018.

Upon arrival, it was clear that this was no casual thing. There were 7 fire trucks, 6 evacuated businesses and a crowd of onlookers as fire fighters cleared out the fire and assessed the risk of smoke in our neighbors' spaces.

The fire started in the ceiling kitchen, from a cause we don't know yet, and burned hot and fast, melting a lot of equipment and causing significant damage.

Having survived years of operating as a family-owned restaurant, COVID, rising restaurant costs and more, we hope and intend to rebuild and relaunch crudo nudo better than ever, but to do it we could use your help.

Insurance moves slowly, and we will need working capital in order to to move forward and reopen our restaurant and workspace. The funds raised here will go directly to the cause of rebuilding and reopening. We are working hard to assess benefit eligibility for our displaced staff, as well as help them find new work - fundraisers to support our team directly will follow soon.

We humbly ask for your support to overcome this catastrophe, and deeply hope that we can reopen as quickly as possible to serve you some of Norfolk's finest food and drink once more.
