Crystal Greenwood - Auto Accident Recovery
Donation protected
Hi,
This fundraiser is for Crystal Greenwood. Some of you may know her as your friendly neighborhood barista/owner of Going Rogue Coffee on Redwood Ave in Grants Pass, OR.
On Saturday May 13, 2023 Crystal was with her daughter heading to Costco. They had just got off exit 33 Central Point intersection two lanes turning left at approximately 12:10pm. A semi truck was turning left in the right lane, didn't make a wide enough turn and his trailer went into her lane and chiseled the side of the vehicle pushing it into the semi that was waiting at signal to turn onto the I-5S.
Since the car accident on May 13 Crystal thought she was fine, but then she had to go to the Urgent Care on May 16. Urgent Care ran x-rays and said her c3 and c4 were protruding and said if symptoms got worse she needed to go to the ER. On Friday May 19 Crystal had gotten worse and went to Providence Emergency Room. They did a CT scan and said there was no bleeds but they want to send her to a spinal specialist. The severe concussion from the accident has left Crystaal with dysarthria(slow speech), vertigo, brain fog, sharp pains, bright light sensitivity and more. She can't be on screens without developing a headache. Driving causes her to have blurry vision and work makes her symptoms worse.
Crystal is a workaholic and this time of recovery from the physical, emotional and mental trauma is going to be very very hard for her. She has relied on the income from the coffee shop and is now facing the stress of how to pay the rent for the shop while she is unable to work.
Crystal doesn't think people will donate to support her during her recovery. I'd like to prove her wrong. I know times are hard, but it doesn't take much to make a difference. When our community comes together to support a neighbor in need there is no end to what we can accomplish.
