Update from Henriett - March 27, 2026:
An update feels appropriate, both out of gratitude and because so many continue to ask after us with genuine care and concern.
In the period leading up to Csaba’s passing, something became unmistakably clear: the depth of the impact he had on the lives of others. He saw the love people had for him and for our family, and the way that love came back to us with extraordinary force. Knowing how deeply he was loved, and seeing what that love moved others to do for us, brought him real peace. He knew that we were in good hands, and that mattered deeply to him.
What formed around us was more than ordinary support. It was an extraordinary network of care and loyalty, deeply rooted and quietly strong, made up of friends and loved ones who, in every meaningful way, are family to us. It showed itself in countless ways, from meals and messages to extraordinary generosity, and it carried us through the hardest days. The GoFundMe has been one part of that, not only because of the financial help, but also because it has given me a way to speak to all of you at once and to express my gratitude for everything that has been done for our family.
The boys are back in school and doing their best. We are taking life one day at a time and trying to find our footing in a reality that still feels changed beyond words. My focus is on them, on giving them stability, and on showing them that even in grief, life must still be carried forward.
I have also started, slowly and carefully, to rebuild parts of the business. I’ve begun taking some dogs back for walks, and in time I will resume training as well. Because the business was built around both Csaba and me, rebuilding it now requires patience and thoughtful restructuring.
In a few days, I’ll be taking the boys on a trip. After that, I will continue working steadily toward rebuilding the business.
I may not always be able to respond to messages or speak with everyone individually, but every kindness has been felt, and every expression of support has mattered more than I can say.
Thank you for carrying us through this time with such generosity, compassion, and care.
Henriett
in loving memory of Csaba

Update from Henriett - March 10, 2026:
I wanted to share something about Csaba and how we will remember him.
Csaba has already been cremated, and he is home with us, surrounded by the love of his family. He did not want a traditional funeral. What mattered to him was not ceremony, but love, freedom, and the people and animals who filled his life.
Above all, he loved his boys, Troy and Trevor, more than anything in this world. They were the center of his heart and the greatest joy of his life.
In his heart, he believed in something larger than any single religion. He believed that however people pray, they are still reaching toward the same God, and that kindness, love, and how we care for one another are what truly matter.
Anyone who knew him also knew how deeply he loved dogs. He used to joke that dogs are like God — because the word is simply spelled backwards. Behind the joke was something true to him: that loyalty, goodness, and love live quietly beside us every day.
Instead of a formal service, what feels right is something much more like him.
When the weather turns warm — on a beautiful late spring or early summer day — I hope we can gather together at Cadman Plaza in Brooklyn Heights. Nothing formal. Just people, dogs, stories, laughter, and memories. A moment to remember him together, the way he would have liked.
We will also share some food, because feeding people was always part of showing love. Anyone who feels moved to join us that day will be welcome. I will share the details when we see a perfect day ahead.
To everyone who has supported us here, please know how deeply grateful we are. Your kindness has carried us through the hardest days, and we will never forget it.

Update from Henriett - March 5, 2026:
Dear friends,
With deep sadness I share that Csaba passed away peacefully on March 4 at 6:05 pm.
I was holding his hand, with the hospice nurse beside us and some of his favorite music playing softly. He was surrounded by love.
Until the very end, Csaba remained himself — gentle, strong, and full of love. He kept telling me “I love you.” He kept kissing me, even curling his lips so I could kiss him again. Earlier he kissed our boys too. He never complained once during his illness.
Even in his final days, his concern was never for himself but for me and for the boys. That is how he lived his whole life — quietly carrying us, protecting us, and loving us with a strength that never asked for anything in return.
That was who Csaba was — always thinking about his family before himself.
Csaba and I were together for 30 years. This January marked three decades of love, partnership, and building a life side by side.
Many of you knew him through the work we built together starting in 2000, walking and caring for dogs. It became our life’s passion and meant so much to both of us.
My heart is broken, but I am grateful that I was able to hold his hand and be there with him in his final moments.
Our family is deeply grateful for the love, prayers, and support you have shown us. Your kindness means more than words can express.
Thank you for standing with us and helping carry our family through this.
With gratitude,
Henriett

Support Csaba’s Family
We are creating this GoFundMe on behalf of the Kadas Family during one of the most difficult and heartbreaking moments of their lives.
Csaba, age 55, is a devoted husband to Henriett and loving father to his two sons (who are in 9th grade and 4th grade). Csaba and Henriett have been a staple in the Brooklyn Heights and Dumbo communities – building their dog walking and training business here since 2000. This business is their life’s work and they love each of our dogs as their own.
On December 9, 2025, Csaba was diagnosed with an incurable and terminal stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Doctors have shared that he is not expected to survive the coming weeks. This reality is devastating, and the family is now focused on spending every possible moment together, surrounded by love.
Why we are asking for help:
No family is ever prepared for something like this and we are all heartbroken for Csaba and Henriett. The suddenness and finality of a terminal diagnosis leaves little time to plan, and the emotional toll can be overwhelming.
Please know that your support will help carry this family through the days, weeks, and months ahead.
Your Donation Use and Impact:
The donations will go directly toward supporting Henriett and the boys with:
- Immediate living expenses and household costs
- Medical and end-of-life related expenses
- Funeral and memorial arrangements
- Ongoing support for the children as they navigate this loss
- Allowing the family time to grieve without the pressure of financial hardship
This support will help provide stability and breathing room during a period defined by grief and transition.
With gratitude,
Friends of Csaba and Henriett
