Support CSULA's ASCE Road to PSWS 2024 at UHM
Donation protected
As the ASCE-CSULA Student Chapter prepares for the 2024 Pacific Southwest Symposium from April 3, 2024 to April 6, 2024 at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, we need $30,000 in financial support for thirty students to compete in four competitions:
- Concrete Canoe
- Steel Bridge
- GeoWall
- Environmental
- Surveying
This year, we need an additional budget because the symposium will occur in Hawaii instead of Southern California. We estimate the total cost is $55,000 for Materials/Tools, Conference Registration, Hotel Accommodation, Flight, and Shipping. We have already raised 45% of the total but still need your support. We learned from the past that the Symposium would provide a transformative experience for our students to navigate professional engineering via competitions and hands-on learning. We are highly appreciative of any amount you can help with.

The CSULA Student Chapter of ASCE is a student-led organization that provides growth and development opportunities related to the professional field of Civil Engineering to Civil/Non-Civil Engineering Students of CSULA. ASCE allows students to apply conceptual Civil Engineering topics to the available Technical Projects offered by the chapter. Such projects include:
- Concrete Canoe
- Steel Bridge
- GeoWall
- Environmental
- Surveying
Every year, CSULA students aim to create and showcase their projects at the annual ASCE Pacific Southwest Symposium. The Pacific Southwest Symposium is a conference that invites all the universities in the southwest region of the nation to partake in various technical competitions and showcase their creations. This conference will allow CSULA students to further progress in their engineering/non-engineering careers through the various career fairs, workshops, and networking opportunities presented at the conference.
With your support, the CSULA Golden Eagles will be able to soar higher toward their goal of participating at this year's Pacific Southwest Symposium.
We gladly appreciate your support, Thank You!
