Support Cultivate Climbing Employees After Hurricane

Donation protected
The management team at Cultivate Climbing is asking for help for our employees. Cultivate Climbing has been our home for many years now, with blood, sweat, and tears poured into our gym. The community we have goes far beyond climbing, and we know that will continue. The flooding from Hurricane Helene has caused true devastation to WNC. So many towns, roads, and businesses have been washed away. It comes with the heaviest of hearts that our current location on Amboy Road has been very severely damaged. Our second location, in the River Arts District, has come to a major halt - having been completely destroyed.

As for the future of Cultivate Climbing, we are not going to give up on our community and are going to rebuild a place for everyone to climb, gather, and create new relationships.

This will be a long road to recovery for all of Asheville, WNC, and Cultivate Climbing. We are so grateful that all of our employees and their families are safe. We are asking for donations to help keep them financially supported during this difficult time. These funds will go directly to our employees and their families. Thank you for your support!

Update:
We are so grateful for all of the donations we have received. We definitely feel the love from our community and appreciate each and every one of you! We wanted to let you know how we will be dispersing these donations to our employees. Jared Shirley, one of our owners, will be overseeing the withdrawal of funds into our bank account and will be responsible for managing and distributing funds amongst employees based on how many hours the employee typically worked. After speaking to our employees and getting their feedback, this is how we decided to split up the donations. This will be a one time, lump sum cash payment to each employee that needs it. Ownership, upper management, and employees currently on payroll, will not be receiving any of the funds. All of the donations will be going directly to our employees who are out of work right now due to Hurricane Helene.
