Support Cyanna' s Battle Against a Rare AVM-Cirsoid Aneurysm

Donation protected

Our dearest Cyanna, “Cy”, “Cyber”, “Cylo” is one of the most amazing people we know. If you are blessed to know her, I’m sure you feel the same. Cyanna holds a uniqueness about her. She has unwavering love for her friends and family, and she will always go above and beyond to be there for them.

We are reaching out in a sense of urgency to support our loved one and friend, Cyanna Davis! She is a passionate, hardworking young lady, who is just beginning her adult life.

Cyanna has been living with an extracranial Arteriovenous Malformation (AVM), an extremely rare and potentially life-threatening condition, discovered in 2021. AVMs are high blood flow, entanglement of veins and arteries that lack capillary bed between the artery and vein. The lack of capillaries and the abnormal entanglement causes the vessels to dilate over time. The extracranial AVM’s growth pattern is aggressive and destructive in nature. The growth and destruction of the surrounding cells can cause significant functional impairments, and when the AVM increases in size it increases the risk of rupturing, which can be fatal!

The location of Cyanna’s AVM is located above her right eye. Her AVM’s primary artery involvement is the carotid artery. Treatment was not available for Cyanna in her home state of North Dakota. Cyanna has had numerous treatments in 2021 and 2023 at the nearest medical center, consisting of angiograms, embolizations, coils, and two opens surgeries. Unfortunately Cyanna's AVM did not decrease in size, it increased in size and now growing into her skull and skin. The AVM is intruding towards her eye and beginning to impact her line of sight. Due to the AVM continuing to expand, this enlargement increases the pressure of the likelihood of rupture.

Cyanna needs a different treatment than she currently was undergoing. Unfortunately, not many doctors in the United States treat Cyanna's type of AVM. Her mom spent tireless hours researching to find a team that could help Cyanna. She was able to locate an experienced extracranial AVM medical team in Little Rock, Arkansas.

It will be a very long road to recovery consisting of a series of treatments. Cyanna needs to go to Little Rock Arkansas every 2 months for treatment, which is expected to occur for the next 1-2 years.

This unexpected medical emergency has put immense emotional and financial strain on her and her mom. Cyanna has shown incredible resilience in the face of this ordeal, but the road to recovery will be long and arduous.

We want to do everything we can to support Cyanna and her family during this difficult period. To ease their financial burden and allow them to focus entirely on Cyanna’s treatment and recovery. Your generous contributions will help cover medical expenses, travel expenses to and from treatments, and other related expenses occurred to treat Cyanna’s AVM.

No donation is too small. Every dollar contributed will make a meaningful difference in Cyanna’s journey to recovery and in providing comfort for her during this trying time.

Shares, Prayers, & positive thoughts, are very much appreciated!

Who is Cyanna

Cyanna is a 21-year-old college student who graduates in December 2024. She is currently working and the hospital as a Sterile Processing Technician. After graduation, she plans to work as a Surgical Technologist. Cyanna’s priority has always been to help provide care for others, and be a positive influence on others, providing comic relief in just the right moments. The stress that weighs on her shoulders at young 21 years of age is enormous. Yet she faces every day with a smile and goal at hand. She wants to serve others and be a guiding light to those facing their own surgeries.

Cyanna has always shown up for her loved ones, friends, and community, she will always try to have positive impact on others, making us smile or just being genuine kind friend. Now, it’s our turn to be there for her.

Let’s come together as a community to lift her up and ensure that she can focus on what matters most—her health and her passion; to support and provide care to others during their own surgical journey!

We are humbly asking for your support to help Cyanna through this incredibly tough time. The funds raised will go directly to Cyanna’s Medical Bills, travel expenses to and from medical appointments, and expenses during treatment and recovery periods.

A separate designated bank account is set up for the funds given to support Cyanna’s medical care and treatment needs.

Thank you for your support!
