Support Cynthia West as she fights Google's retaliation
Donation protected
Cynthia West was blacklisted from the Google data center in Lenoir, North Carolina in fall of 2022 for being a public union supporter. Her union, Alphabet Workers Union, filed an unfair labor practice charge. Ultimately the labor board agreed that her blacklisting amounted to illegal retaliation. Despite that, however, Google continues to drag out this process and refuses to come to a settlement that would make Cynthia whole. Since 2022 Cynthia's quality of life has plummeted, as her former employers have not only refused to hire her back but are also preventing her from getting hired elsewhere by providing bad references when she applies for jobs. Because she has been unable to secure well-paying, steady employment, she is now at risk of losing her cell phone, her car, and even having power shut off to her home, where she lives with her children. Just $4000 would be a life-changing amount of money for Cynthia right now as it would enable her to repair her car and drive to jobs, as well as keep the lights on in her home. Please consider making a donation to help support Cynthia during this difficult time for her and her family.
