Support Daija's Fight and Secure Her Son's Future

On May 26th 2024, the night before her 35th birthday, our dear sister Daija went into cardiac arrest unexpectedly. She was successfully resuscitated but is in critical condition on life support. Soon after realizing she would be in the hospital for longer than we expected, we found out that she was also in the process of getting re-enrolled at her job. This job provided her with medical insurance and life insurance and without her annual re-enrollment, she and her son would be left without benefits. Because of her current health status, we may not be able to get her re-enrolled. My sisters and I are reaching out because we need your help. No one is more deserving of your kindness than our sweet sister.

Daija has dealt with health struggles for the last 8 years of her life. She was diagnosed with Lupus in July 2015, then 3 years later with kidney failure, and last year with congestive heart failure. Although her health has declined over the years, her big heart has never changed. She’s a giver by nature and her love for her family is unwavering. She takes pride in being the best mother she can be to her son, even amongst the adversity she’s faced. She is a devout Christian and recently baptized at Triumph Church. She is active in her community as a member of the Golden Girls Organization who recently sent a student in need to prom.

This has truly been one of the hardest times of our lives, just witnessing our sister in this condition. We have been by her side every day and have been trying to prepare our hearts and minds to accept whatever the outcome of this is. However, time is of the essence, and we need your help so that when we do cross that bridge, we will be able to secure her son’s future and not have a huge financial burden to face no matter what God’s final say is. We currently have no measurement of what this will all cost as we are being proactive in any event. We will use the funds to cover her end of life expenses and the rest will go into a trust fund for her son. We appreciate anything, ANYTHING you can give.
