Support daily Bible Study videos.

I wanted to start a Bible reading plan for my boys that would give them a better grasp on the redemptive work of Jesus shown throughout the scripture. Colin made it a thousand times better when he suggested that everyone, and not just my boys, could benefit from this if we created daily Bible videos. Thus Simpler Bible was conceived.

We are creating a video for each of the 366 days of 2024 and another 52 weekly summary videos. While the daily video is simple in its format and approach, it takes a lot of work to bring each video and blog post to life. Colin and I (Ryan) spend an additional 20-30 hours a week on this project. My 20+ hours are spent outlining the monthly schedule, preparing each lesson, and writing the blogs. Aside from recording, I spend about two hours preparing for each video. Colin is the genius behind our entire online presence. He built the website, gave us a platform on every major social media site, and does all the video editing and post-scheduling. You can imagine his 25 hours extra each week get eaten up pretty quickly.

Our hope is that this resource will give people a more profound love for the things of God and the truth of Jesus. We have taken this project on with passion and excitement, but it is another part-time job trying to be a full-time job for us. As a result, some of our other sources of income are falling by the wayside.

We hope through this funding to be able to supply the needs that arise in our families over the coming year, but also to be able to purchase things to make Simpler Bible even better. We have already bought a new camera, an iPad, lighting, a website, and various sound equipment, and we have ambitions of building an app before the year is out, along with other resources that will make Bible study easier and these videos more accessible.
