Support Dakota Alvarez's Stroke Recovery

My name’s Dakota Alvarez, and you most likely know me from working with me, seeing me perform in different groups over the years, or bumping into me at some of my favorite places to visit. I had a stroke onstage 6/22 with my band, “Amoura” and have since been discharged from In-patient Hospital care, and in-patient Rehab at Mary Free Bed. I’m currently still going to out/patient rehab with Mary Free Bed to regain function and strength in the left side of my body.

i sustained an Ischemic Stroke in the right side of my brain, and have since had to relearn how to walk/talk/play instruments/eat and function as an individual.

I’ve since- applied for Social security disability, and am in the wait to hear if I’m accepted. Unfortunately, while I wait to hear back- the bills are mounting up, and I still have ability to work. Therefore, I have no stream of income to account for the bills I have coming in. And have had to rely on others’ to afford some of the payments I’ve needed to make. Anything helps, and I hope to be able to get onto disability until I’m able to make a recovery & return to work
