Dalton’s Road to Recovery After a Tragic Motorcycle Accident

As many of you have heard, our dear friend Dalton endured a nightmare that none of us could have ever prepared for. On his way to work, he was run off the road by a truck, causing him to lose control of his motorcycle. Dalton was thrown from the bike, flipping and rolling across the pavement.

Dalton was rushed to the hospital with severe injuries: a subdermal hematoma, a fractured skull, a broken collarbone, an orbital fracture (punctured eye socket), torn ligaments, four broken ribs, and his body covered in road rash. He underwent an emergency brain surgery that lasted over six hours—a fight for his life that left everyone who loves him praying for a miracle. As he remains in the hospital, the doctors are carefully monitoring his condition, slowly bringing him out of sedation, and looking for signs of progress.

We are beyond thankful that Dalton is still with us. His survival is nothing short of a miracle, and we know he must have had someone watching over him. We truly believe his late mother, who he lost a few years ago, was his guardian angel that day, protecting him and helping to keep him with us. Though we are grateful he didn't lose any limbs, his journey to recovery is still uncertain and will be long and challenging. When the doctors first tried to bring him out of sedation, he was unresponsive, and we are still praying every day for signs of hope and healing.

Dalton is not just a friend or a co-worker; he is a devoted husband and a loving father to a beautiful little girl who needs her daddy. Samantha has been by his side every moment, trying to stay strong for them while facing the unimaginable fear of an uncertain future. They are overwhelmed, but they are holding on to hope, taking things one day at a time.

Right now, Dalton and his family need our help more than ever. The medical bills are already piling up, on top of normal household bills, and there are so many unknowns about what lies ahead. Although his and Samantha's jobs are being incredibly understanding, the financial strain is enormous, and the last thing his family should have to worry about is how to pay for his care and keep up with their household obligations.
