Help Us Support Damien “The Podfather of NYC”
We are heartbroken to share that our dear friend Damien, known as “The Podfather of NYC” and the founder of Damatrix Studios, recently experienced a devastating loss. After leaving to film a friend’s podcast, Damien brought his equipment back to his apartment—only to have it stolen that weekend. The thieves took over $5,000 worth of podcast equipment, including his speakers and lighting—essential tools that he uses to teach, create, and inspire.
Damien is more than just a pioneer in the media industry—he’s a community leader and a giver. For years, he has dedicated his time to teaching students throughout New York City how to create their own podcasts, often volunteering at schools to empower the next generation of creators. He has worked with countless individuals in the entertainment world, helping launch careers and giving aspiring artists and personalities a platform to share their voices. His passion for media, mentorship, and community building is truly unmatched.
Those who know Damien know his heart. He’s always the first to give, whether it’s his time, resources, or encouragement. Now, it’s time for us to give back to him. We, the ladies of The It Gets Greater Later Podcast—Sue Fearless, Queen Nat, and Sloane—have known Damien for more than 15 years collectively. We’ve seen firsthand the countless hours and energy he pours into helping others succeed. This loss is not just a setback for Damien but for the entire community he tirelessly supports.
We are asking all of his friends, family, and supporters to come together to help Damien replace his stolen equipment so he can continue his mission of sharing media education and providing opportunities to others. Every donation, no matter the amount, will make a difference. Let’s show Damien that his selflessness and dedication have not gone unnoticed.
Please donate what you can and share this message with others who may want to help. Thank you for your support and love during this challenging time.
