Support Damon's Journey to Crafted for Action Conference

Hi, I'm Damon Arredondo, and I'm honored to have been selected as a fellow for the Crafted for Action Conference in Atlanta, Georgia, June 17th-23rd, participating in the pitch competition and will be starting as a mentee in their multi-month mentorship program. I’m reaching out because I need your help to cover the costs of attending this transformative event.

Why I'm Asking for Help:

The Crafted for Action Conference is a unique opportunity for craft beer professionals to address the industry's lack of diversity and foster inclusivity through diverse panelists and educational sessions. As a fellow in the mentorship program, I will be paired with a mentor who will guide me for several months, helping me develop Rizoma Liquid Creations (a Latino-owned and operated beer company and eventually brewery in KC), and make a significant leap in my efforts for finding a physical location. I haven't been able to find that business partner yet, so I need to find things that support me and this vision along the way.

About Me:

I'm a dad, brewer, entrepreneur, handyman, and consultant dedicated to positive and sustainable impact in the industry and community. While pursuing Rizoma Liquid Creations, I am also doing handyman work, and consulting in the beer industry when possible, to make a living. Due to the nature of these jobs as gig work, it can be very stressful, and hit-or-miss. I am not asking from a "poor me" standpoint, I just feel that this is one of the best opportunities to be surrounded by like-minded folks and to have that chance at really moving forward.

How Funds Will Be Used:

The funds raised will help cover the travel, accommodation, and the cost of not being able to work, while I'm on the trip to Atlanta, Georgia. This will enable me to fully participate in this one-of-a-kind mentorship program, participate in a pitch competition with financial reward, and bring back valuable knowledge and insights that will benefit my community and others in the industry.
