Support Dan Schmid's Heart Surgery Recovery

Raising $ to cover medical costs for Dan Schmid, along with covering costs for transportation, food, and lodging for Dan and his family.

**UPDATE 9/20: we are SO grateful to all the support to raise our original goal of $10k to support the Schmid family. Dan’a daughters decided to increase the goal to $20k to help support all the medical and non-medical costs involved, including rental cars and more hotel visits once Dan and Heather drive back to MN

On Sat., Sept. 14, Dan and Heather were in Maryland for a wedding, and Dan was not feeling well. He went to the E.R. and got admitted for more testing. On Mon., Sept. 16, they did an angiogram and found his "widow maker" artery was 99% blocked. He was transferred to Suburban Hospital (part of Johns Hopkins). Double bypass surgery was successfully performed on Wed 9/18. Dan (and Heather) will need to stay in Maryland for one week after he is discharged from the hospital. His daughters are taking turns coming to visit and support as well.
