Support Danielle Jones' Urgent Hand Surgery

My fellow groomer Danielle Jones, 4 weeks ago was bitten by a dog while grooming it. It did get infected and was put on several different antibiotics over the 4 week time frame. Yesterday she saw a hand specialist because of the infection not getting any better. This is when she received the news that she was not expecting. The infection has gone in to the bone and the bone has actually started deteriorating to the point that there is not a lot of bone left. She will need to have surgery this week for them to remove all the dead bone and have infectious disease come in and culture to figure out what the bacteria is and what course of antibiotics is needed to treat. After this procedure, if they can get the infection cleared up then I will have a second surgery to place a bone This post is mainly for all my clients. If this can't happen then she will unfortunately have to have part of my thumb amputated. I can say that I know I will be out of work for the next 2 weeks. My co- worker Becky is going to help me as much as she can to get as many of my clients in for grooming but she is only one person and can only do so much and I certainly appreciate her help but also do not want to burn her out. The only advice I can offer right now would be some referrals to other grooming shops that can help out. I'm very sorry for this and appreciate everyone's understanding. I will keep everyone updated. in with a pin to see if they can get new bone growth. If this can't happen then I will unfortunately have to have part of my thumb amputated.

It is currently unknown how long she will be out for. As a fellow groomer, this is our lively hood and our means to income to support our family. As many of you know Danielle has a passion for animals and goes to all means necessary to make sure dogs, cats, birds, etc. are well taken care of and feel love from a human.
