Support Daniel's Long Road to Recovery
Donation protected
Sunday, August 25, 2024, my brother-in-law Daniel, was in a life changing motorcycle accident. He was heading home after a day ride on his Ducati. In changing lanes, his back tire began to fishtail, and he unfortunately was thrown from his motorcycle. Thankfully, he did not endure a TBI or spinal injuries, but he did sustain major injuries to both legs.
Daniel suffered a femur fracture to his left leg, severing his femoral vein and artery and severely impending blood flow to his foot. He also suffered an open tibia-fibula fracture to his right leg. Vascular surgeons were successful in repairing his artery and veins, getting blood flow to his foot. After undergoing over 4 hours of surgery for the vascular repair, he then had orthopedic surgeons working on the remainder of his injuries. He was out of surgery this morning at 3:22 AM. The right leg is set with an external fixator and 3 wound vacs on his left leg. His foot, is still touch and go, although the blood flow was repaired, the trauma surgeons did advise there may be a possibility of losing it. He has a very long recovery ahead of him.
Any donation would be greatly appreciated and go directly to help Daniel & Elizabeth and their family.
Thank you,
Lauda Sweningson or as he calls me "Hey Lady."
