Support Darius in His Battle for Life
Hi everyone,
My name is Darius. I've been beating the odds since the day I was born and had open heart surgery at just 3 days old. I was able to stay strong until I was 5 years old and was then hit by a car, while I was riding my bicycle with my siblings. I was in a body cast, with a broken leg and needed a permanent pacemaker to survive. Somehow, I was resilient and kept going. I graduated high school, even though I had multiple hospital stays and changes in medications.
Unfortunately, I was recently feeling nauseous and unable to keep to keep food down. After multiple hospital stays, CT scans, MRI's, blood work, a fever and eventual biopsy, I was diagnosed with a brain tumor and cancer of the testicles, liver and lung. Doctors say I'm "too weak" for chemo but I've beaten the odds before. My family has tried multiple times to get me life insurance since I was a young child and each company has refused me due to "pre-existing conditions" and being "high-risk". My family and I are in need of your support. I am going to fight hard yet again!
Update: Darius passed away on June 6th at 6:02am at Good Shepherd Hospice. Please consider leaving a donation to help with laying him to rest. The funeral service cost is $5300, we also would have liked to pick out a nice suit (est. cost $99-200), provide obituaries, pay for prayer cards and a personalized memorial urn for our mother and have his ashes laid at sea, which costs $395. Thank you to any and all who sent a donation on behalf of my brother! He will be cremated. Any additional donations are going directly to our mother in her time of need. To some of our supposed "family" You really let my mom and Darius down. God Bless those who already extended a helping hand, whether it was emotional support or your generous donations!
