Support Darnell Woods: Community Builder in Need

We are starting this GoFundMe to help Mr. Darnell Woods. Some may already know, but I am going to give the background of why this nice young man needs our help. On February 3, 2025, he and a couple co-workers stopped at Stoeckers Saddle Shop in Christopher, IL on their way home from their construction job. Darnell saw the horse statue in front of the store and wanted to get on it and take a few pictures. Once on top, the store owner John Stoecker, aggressively yells vulgar racial slurs at Mr. Woods who was very apologetic while dismantling the statue. When trying to leave, the aggressive store owner makes multiple attempts to keep Mr. Woods from getting into his ride’s vehicle and leaving. The store owner proceeds to aggressively chest bump Mr. Woods, resulting in a physical altercation. Unfortunately Mr. Woods was arrested and is being charged with assault. There is video proof of how this altercation started. As a community, I am asking that we all pull together to help this man out. Mr. Darnell Woods is first and foremost a dedicated father, works construction helping build our local communities, kind hearted and the type to help others in need. He does not deserve the harsh treatment that he received by everyone he encountered in Christopher, IL. Any and all help is needed and greatly appreciated! #JusticeForDarnell
