Support Darren and his family on his brain cancer journey

Hi, my name is Kelly and I'm fundraising for Darren.

On December 17th, 2024 Darren began to feel quite unwell at work. l Immediately called an ambulance, and he was taken to hospital where he underwent tests and scans.

Darren and his family's lives were soon to be turned upside down. It was revealed that Darren had 2 tumours on his brain, and he underwent surgery a few days later in Melbourne.

One tumour was removed; however, the other was not operable, and we are beyond devastated to share that Darren has terminal brain cancer, Glioblastoma. Unfortunately, prognosis isn't good, Darren has been given a timeline of 14 - 18 months, but we all remain hopeful that this can be extended well beyond this diagnosis.

2024 was already a challenging year financially and emotionally as Darren's father in law suffered an accident where he broke his neck leaving him as an incomplete quadriplegic. Darren's wife, April supported her mother and father whilst in hospital from December 2023 - June 2024.

The aim is to help contribute to the costs of everyday living and ease the financial burden this illness will bring Darren and his family.

Darren has commenced radiation and chemotherapy. Hopefully, Darren may be able to have a break from treatment and spend some quality time away with his family.
