Support Dave Dorner's Road to Recovery

Hi! Dave Dorner needs our support. Dave had a horse fall on him and is going to need a couple of surgeries for crushed vertebrae, collapsed lung and a broken leg. Dave has had a second surgery on his leg to install all the internal hardware. The orthopedic surgeon said it was on of the worst injuries he has ever seen! The surgery went wel. Now we hope there is no infection,pain control and eventually physical therapy. Dave’s next procedure will be in Miami at the university with the Miami Project. This means transporting Dave, securing housing for his wife,Christine and all the rest of the logistics, not to mention hay/grain,hired help,utilities,and food. They are both grateful for the contributions towards his expenses and the enormous amount of messages of support. They are in need of help in other ways as well. The doctors ,in Ocala, provided amazing care and rehabilitation in Miami was phenomenal. These measures saved his life. Dave is in the long and sometimes frustrating phase where improvements come few and far between. He is now facing the reality that he will not ride a horse again. His life is forever changed. Anne Madej has spear headed the effort to build living quarters for Dave to accommodate his new reality,as he cannot walk unassisted and needs to wear the clam shell when upright.
